U heeft waarschijnlijk wel gezien dat ik alleen broedblok afmetingen voor parkieten vermeld hebt, tropische vinken broeden praktisch allemaal in dezelfde broedblokken die al in de handel te koop zijn. Vaak is het voor tropische vinken niet praktisch genoeg om zelf houten kastjes te maken. Zoals al aangegeven in het artikel over de juiste nestkast keuze prefereer ik persoonlijk kunststof nestkastjes ivm schoonmaken. Voor parkieten is dit niet mogelijk ivm het knagen, kunststof zal vlijmscherp worden bij het knagen van parkieten.
